Newcomers to the sport can learn to row with
an experienced rower. Short-term visitors to Hilton Head Island who are qualified rowers and are
affiliated with the U.S.R.A. may use club boats and facilities. Visitor donations, though not
required, are accepted.
Scheduled rowing typically takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7am and 9am, and Saturdays at 7:30am and 9:30am. Sometimes
rowing is scheduled in the afternoon.
All programs are flexible and may be altered to fit the needs and available time of participants.
During late Winter and Spring, the high school crews row "fours" or "eights" in the afternoons.
Rowers may be year-round residents, seasonal residents or short-term vacationers. We try to fit
all into the appropriate programs of the club.
Annual dues are just $300. Seasonal memberships are $50 per month. Members
are entitled to full use of the Club's boats, ergs and facilities. Members may
store their own boats and oars in the clubhouse to the extent that space permits.
