Rowing singles at water temperatures below 50 degrees or air temperature below 40 degrees is prohibited."
The Board will monitor the water temperature and should it fall below 50 degrees, all members will be notified that rowing is prohibited. When the water temperature rises again to more than 50 degrees, the Board will again notify everyone that rowing is once again authorized.
Each of us will be responsible for monitoring the 40 degree air temperature.
We encourage everyone to be especially careful as the winter weather sets in. It takes only 20 minutes or so in mid 50 degree water to have hypothermia set in. So enjoy your rowing, be safe and we look forward to seeing you on the water.
